Arrest Made In Colorado NAACP Bombing Case

An arrest has been made in connection of the January bombing near the offices of the Colorado Springs chapter of the NAACP. The Associated Press is reporting Thaddeus Murphy was in custody and will head to a federal court later on today to face charges for last month’s bombing. The Associated Press is reporting the FBI investigated the blast as a hate crime, but don’t believe the attack was racially motivated. According to reports, Murphy confessed to making a pipe bomb and didn’t target the NAACP’s offices. Court records allege Murphy was upset over financial issues he was facing and was upset an accountant which worked in the building where the NAACP’s Colorado Springs chapter is located, wouldn’t return his phone calls and tax records.
